To install X/OS Linux 5.1, download one DVD image or six CD images (cd1-cd6).

The source packages are available on a separate DVD image. Note that the source RPMs are not required to install X/OS Linux. The source DVD can be downloaded using FTP via the following URL:

You can verify the integrity of each ISO image using the SHA1 checksums published on this site or in the SHA1SUM file located in the download directory. Compare the output returned by running the sha1sum command on each ISO file with the values published by X/OS: 

sha1sum <isofilename>


[1] The X/OS Linux 5.1 DVD contains an extra directory dvdutils with tools to create a complete set of ISO9660 CD images from the DVD. See the README file in the top directory of the DVD for information on how to use this feature.
